She has three CDs to her name and her lovely compositions have been featured in commercials, films, radio, as well as the airlines. Layla Angulo (Saxophone) Born in Louisiana, raised between Boston, Los Angeles, and Seattle, Layla began playing the piano at age five, the sax at ten, and was performing in jazz clubs in Boston at fourteen. Layla currently plays with the Layla Angulo Latin Jazz Band. Thione Diop (Djembe) Senegalese born drummer, Thione Diop is now based in Seattle, Washington where he teaches djembe and sabar drumming, sabar dance, and performs frequently. Currently Thione is the lead drummer for his group Yeke Yeke. Alex Guilbert (Keyboards), Since his graduation from the University of Washington School of Music in 1994, Alex has embarked on a highly diverse career as a pianist, composer, and teacher. He has been an established member of Seattle's jazz community for years. Taryn Webber (Cello & Vocals), Taryn loves to rock! Since moving to Seattle from the East Coast in 1997 she has played cello, electric bass, and sang harmony with such musical groups as Swan Vestas, Going South, Graig Markel, and most recently, The Figure of Eight. Cari Carnahan (Vocals), Cari is singing with the Seattle Pacific University band Unlimited this year. Walter Torres (Guitar), Walter was born and raised in Lima, Peru. Walter recently composed, arranged and performed most of the songs on the Julio Ramirez album, and is involved in regular projects with Arturo Rodriguez. Walter is currently the lead percussionist for the Layla Angulo Latin Jazz Band. Pierre Crutchfield (Clarinet), An artist, writer, and producer of both music and film, Pierre utilizes turntables, woodwinds, and keyboards in much of his work. Philip Seward (Percussion), Philip has played for over 20 years in various forms of music: jazz, R&B, rock, disco, new wave, techno, new age, funk, reggae, ska, country, blues, and classical. Justin Verre (Berimbau), Justin plays the berimbau, an instrument used in the Brazilian foot fighting art of capoeira.
