Shazzy Fitness: A Time to Dance is a really fun, upbeat workout but it take some practice. The Pros:-The DVD arrived earlier than expected and included a very nice note that made a great first impression.-The menu showed you exactly what was on the DVD and was easy to navigate.-The music was great: upbeat and fun and the dance moves really felt fresh and contemporary.-There was a nice representation of body types/sizes/age ranges which is always nice to see in a workout video.-Definitely felt like I got a GOOD workout from this DVD!The Cons:-There is no warm up or cool down on this DVD, which is a shame, because I would consider this a pretty high impact workout. Having a guided warm up/cool down of the muscle groups exercised in this video would have been very nice. I could have easily gone for a longer, maybe 20 minute workout that did include a warm up/cool down.-This workout is pretty advanced. They definitely throw you into the deep end of the pool with complex dance moves that change rapidly. (The pro attached to this con is that at least you get to look like an uncoordinated idiot from the privacy of your own home, vs. going to the dance workout program at the gym, where public humiliation is a given unless you are a professional dancer.) That said, since it is a DVD, you'll have ample opportunities to learn the moves and gain some mastery over the steps and getting to that point with this DVD will feel like a REAL accomplishment.-The instructions that are given throughout the workout are too quick and vague to be much help. It can be hard to figure out what to do by listening to the workout instructor, but by watching and following the dancers you can, with practice, learn the steps. To sum up: a fun, high impact workout that feels like a challenge, but in a good way!
