As first impressions go, these cleats are ready to play the first time you throw them on. The 'sock' molds surprisingly well to the feet. The touch on the ball feels 'closer' than cheaper Nike soccer cleats. These cleats are really light, like a 'forgot I was wearing cleats' lightness. The included insoles are unimpressive; they lack grip on regular socks, and even Trusox slip around when planting the foot hard. Sadly this isn't easily fixed my tying the shoes tighter as that just leads to hot spots for me. If you need ankle support, these are not the cleats for you; the lace-loops end 'low' on the foot, not at your ankle. They stay on your feet very well, but you can't clamp a lace down on your ankle. The 'sock' upper feels durable enough, but I only have about 20 uses on these so far. I am surprised by how well these shoes fit. They really do wrap around your foot like a sock. The footplate has great traction on artificial turf, and the white upper is just starting to get a little dirty from touches on the ball. I have not worn these on real grass yet but imagine they would not stay white very long.Overall these are great cleats for the price. Coming from 2 year old CHEAP Tiempos and 4 year old middle-range Mercurials, these cleats feel like a huge upgrade for the price. I have yet to find anything bad to say about the sock. Get some long white crew socks to look like a pro.
